This handy little tool allows you to remove a backscrew or place lead and a cork down the shaft of a club without damaging a perfectly good grip. It is simple to use – just place the “sleeved” tip into the hole in the end of a grip, then remove the tool, leaving the sleeve in teh expanded hole. The larger opening will allow you to place lead powder and cork down the shaft for swingweighting. If you are removing a head, the opening will be large enough to place a 47-inch drill down the shaft to drill out the backscrew. The Grip Saver is 7-1/2 inches long with a wooden handle.
